Stand, Swing, Tap

Here is one of the exercises that Derek came up with to help us train for ice climbing. For lack of a name, I'm dubbing it "Stand, Swing, Tap." The tree in the picture is already dead, so we were not harming it.

The Stand, Swing, Tap:
1. Start sitting with one tool stuck at an arm's length
2. Pull into a standing position
3. Swing your free tool and tap a full arm's length above

  1. Now this is going to seem really random, but I wanted to answer your question. I responded to a request I saw on facebook that Reebok was looking for testers. They test women's size 7 shoes and size M clothing. They send out periodic emails to the pool looking for people to do a certain amount of miles over a give time period, and the first people to respond get to do it. Some of the shoes are great, others not so much.

This site is very cool. Back before I had kids, my husband and I did some climbing, but never ice. This made me miss it, especially now that we have moved so close to the Red River Gorge in KY.
